Tender plants out!

Today was sunny but breezy. About 50. Dug up some tender plants today - Cobaea scandens, Libertia formosa, Malvaviscus drummondii, Zephyranthes bulbs, Talinum paniculatum, Tinantia erecta, and Clitoria ternatea and planted in small pots inside. Also took off all growth from Passiflora caerulea and put in water to root. Also planted Talinum teretifolium in Rock Garden.

Emilia fosbergii finally started to bloom in the Pond Area.

Today was cloudy and about 55. Planted Cornus canadensis in Bog and Acid Areas. Spread more peat and pine needles in Acid Area and Bog Area. Rained at night.

Today was very warm, and sunny. About 90! It rained a little bit in the afternoon, with a quick downpour.

Tricyrtis hirta is blooming in the Main Garden now.

Planted seeds of Arabis glabra, Corydalis sempervirens alba, Corydalis sempervirens, Kirigia virginica, Lithospermum canescens, Lithospermum caroliniense, and Melampyrum lineare (good?) in Acid Area.

Put some more peat around the bog garden, and planted a few more Cornus canadensis, Medeola virginiana and some Clintonia borealis.

The Acid Area is finally starting to settle in, and moss is starting to grow on its own, and many of the plants are coming back from their roots!

Aplectrum hyemale came up enough to take a picture of in Woodland Area 1.

Bog update!

Today was mild and somewhat muggy... cloudy in the start of the day, and then off and on sunny the rest. About 75.

Added many rocks, sticks and lots of peat to the bog area. Also planted Cornus canadensis, Mitchella repens, Clintonia umbellata, Medeola virginiana and Liparis liliifolia in the new peat.

In the Acid Area, planted Lithospermum caroliniense, Arctostaphylos uva-ursi, Epipactis helleborine and Cornus canadensis.

Today was rainy and wet! It only got to about 60 today, and rained off and on all day - sometimes heavily.
